About GHS HRD Nexus

Our Purpose

The Human Resource Directorate (HRD) of the Ghana Health Service runs several digital systems that support staff throughout their careers — from the master staff record in HRIMS, to study leave applications, grade upgrading and conversion, and performance appraisals. Each system was built to do one job well, but staff and officers often weren't sure which portal to use, or where to find it.

GHS HRD Nexus exists to solve exactly that. It's a single, unified directory that points you to the right system for what you need — nothing more, nothing less. Nexus doesn't replace any of these systems; it's the front door that makes them easier to find.

What the Directorate Manages

• Staff Records & Deployment — through the HR Information Management System (HRIMS), the single source of truth for GHS staff data nationwide.
• Study Leave — provisional approvals and tracking for staff pursuing further studies.
• Grade Upgrading & Conversion — the approval pipeline that moves qualified staff into the grade their new qualification or specialization warrants.
• Performance Management — appraisals and performance reviews across every region and facility.

Our Approach

Nexus is intentionally simple: a directory, not another system to log into. Every link takes you straight to the real portal, where your usual GHS credentials apply. As the Directorate adds or updates systems, this directory is updated to match — so it stays the one place you can always trust to point you the right way.
